DAF Trucks is a Dutch truck manufacturing company and a division of Paccar US manufactured of great brands like Peterbilt and Kenworth. DAF’s headquarters and main plant are in Eindhoven.

The Challenge

Driven by an IOT strategy and the introduction of connected services new monetization models are born. Main reason behind this strategy: Why giving valuable data for free, while you can monetize this as it’s valuable for customers to work with.

The Solution

The Zuora billing engine in combination with a custom subscription check-out & shopping experience has been delivered within 14 weeks by the Subscription Factory. Fleet owners are fully in control of the connected services they want to enable per vehicle, and they will get invoiced accordingly.

The Benefits

After launching the first subscription models for connected services other new services can be introduced soon as the end to end solution is fully designed for this. Maintenance of vehicles and driver behavior will become better to forecast

 The Zuora platform enebaled Konecranes to shift from a one-size-fits-all annual contract model to flexibel monthly subscriptions that can be customized for each customers needs.

The Benefits

 In just one year, Konecranes was able to go to market with 100% more product rate plans which helped contribute toa YOY increase of 29% in active subscribers and 10% increase in new subscribers.

Vaadin Oy engages in building and delivering Java based business applications for Web developers in Finland and internationally. The company offers Vaadin, a Java framework for building Web applications, as well as provides commercial add-on components and tools. Its services include training courses, user interface design, proof of concept, project kickstart, theme design, scalability assessment, and quality review. The company was formerly known as IT Mill Oy and changed its name to Vaadin Oy in February 2011. The company was founded in 2000 and is based in Turku, Finland.

The Challenge

The existing CRM package used for subscription billing was under performing. Vaadin was facing a revenue leak and there were no options for more complex subscription models. Second reason for implementing Zuora was to get more ownership on the customer base as everything was handled by Stripe.

 

The Solution

Zuora has been implemented and configured by the Subscription Factory. With support from Subscription Factory Vaadin has developed the e-commerce portal. Direct sales will be processed directly in Zuora.

 

 

The Benefits

The Zuora platform in combination with an in house developed e-commerce platform enables Vaadin to launch offers in a much accurate way and to secure revenue leakages. It’s a full managed and controlled process. Payment processes are automated
